General Description: 

Exhibits from local businesses, hiking clubs,ATC, and retail establishments have been part of previous ATC conferences. A.T. Vista is no different. The Exhibits Coordinator will determine which organizations and businesses to contact, set a fee for businesses and determine layout of the exhibit space. In the past, hiking clubs, ATC, and NYNJTC have been part of exhibits. Make arrangements for setting up and take down. This position can be filled by a parernt and teenager, givin the teen an opportunity to function in an adult role with adults. View a report from the 2007 conference that was held at Ramapo College. The Exhibits Coordinator works with the On-Site Committee Chair

    Objective: 

    Recruit exhibitors, plan exhibit space, and coordinate exhibits during the meeting

    Skills: 

    Ability to to delegate and to troubleshoot

    Specific Tasks: 
    • Before the Conference
      • Read the report from the 2007 conference.
      • Contact potential exhibitors - ATC, retail, clubs,
      • Design room layout
      • Arrange for tables and chairs
      • Interact with exhibitors prior to conference
      • Track own hours
    • At Conference
      • Oversee set up and take down
    •  After Conference
      • Thank exhibitors
      • Write report

    Time Line: 
    • Spring of the year before the conference - preliminary report for June Steering Committee Mtg.
    • Summer/Fall of the year before the conference - recruit exhibitors
    • Beginning of the year of the conference - progress report to Steering Committee
    • Spring of the year of the conference - finalize arrangements, assign specific areas to exhibitors
    • Meeting week- oversee operation, check security arrangements
    • September of the year of the conference - Final Report due
