General Description: 

Every organization or group needs someone to pay attention to money: develop a budget, oversee expenses, and write a final report. Be that person at A.T. Vista.


The financial control and oversight for the  A.T. Vista.

  • Accounting or financial professional (CPA not required)
  • Ability to set up the books for A.T. Vista
Specific Tasks: 
  • Prior to the Conference
    • Develop a budget
    • Set up who is authorized to receive cash/checks and who is authorized to spend and write checks.
    • Oversee financial end of contracts
  • While running the Conference
    • Be a member of the Steering Committee
    • Track own hours
    • Track budget and present report at meetings
    • Evaluate A.T. Vista’s budget
  • After the Conference
    • Assemble financial documents for review
  • Add to your resume that you were a treasurer for a multi-day conference
  • Work with knowledgeable hikers from outside your region

  • All Committee Chairs
  • Exhibits Coordinator
  • T-Shirt Coordinator
  • NY-NJ Trail Conference's Operations and Finance Manager or designee
